FAB BAG PICKS: Bathroom Pampering

No “me” time? Pamper yourself in the bathroom with these super picks that cleanse your skin and rejuvenate your senses!!!

As a mother of an almost-two-year-old and 8-months on with my second, with a job that thankfully allows me to work-from-home, I know how difficult it is to steal those moments away to just give yourself a little TLC. For someone who prided herself on being a beautista of repute, nowadays I do roam around with chipped nail polish, stale perfume, chapped lips or at times grey in my hair. And you know what, it’s okay to let yourself go a little sometimes. There’s only so much time in a day! So on the days I know I’ll be chockablock, I just change my bathroom routine a bit. A nice bodywash and loofah instead of soap, or a little kitchen recipe whipped up in my mixer or sometimes just a body scrub and face mask. Just something for a quick pick-me-up!

Bath & Body Works Bali Mango Shower Gel: It has been formulated to provide the ultimate shower experience, pampering you with luxurious lather, moisturizing Aloe Vera and nourishing Vitamin E that gently clean, soften and fragrance your skin. CLICK HERE to view product.

Vana Vidhi Oriental Rice Paddy Face & Body Scrub:  Luxe Oils work toward a smoother, fairer and more radiant complexion over a refined skin texture while the Brown Rice is nature’s gift for gentle yet deep exfoliation. This natural scrub combats aging, wrinkles, pigmentation, tan very well, while adding an exuberant shine and illumination to lack luster skin. CLICK HERE to view product.

The Body Shop Moringa Body Scrub: Stimulates the skin and removes dead skin cells when massaged into the skin. Leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth and better prepared to absorb the next layer of moisture. This exfoliating body scrub contains real moringa seed oil. It leaves skin soft and smooth. Removes dead skin cells. CLICK HERE to view product.

Homemade Chocolate Body Wrap: Particularly stressed, or just feeling down-and-out? Try whipping up a chocolate body wrap in your kitchen. Put on a pan of water onto boil – once the water starts bubbling, float a small metal bowl on top (of the water) and dunk in pieces of your favourite plain chocolate bar. This will take about 15 minutes but will melt the chocolate without burning it. Meanwhile zap some AHA-rich fruit (choose from papaya, strawberries, mango or banana), a little honey, olive oil (for dry skin) and little wine (skip if you have sensitive skin) in a mixer. To this, add the melted chocolate. Now take a thick paintbush and in the privacy of your bathroom, paint yourself all over. Put on some music and relax for 15 minutes. Then taking a scrub sponge, gently scrub water with a little tepid water for skin that feels divine, and a soul that’s as gooey as chocolate!

With chocolatey love!
