A Slimmer Face

Need a slimmer face? Try some face yoga!

If you dutifully follow a fitness routine, you are likely to have a smaller, thinner face. But if a sleepless night, too much partying or even PMSing has left you with jowls, try these exercises to slim down your face and get a more contoured jawline and slimmer cheeks.

The ‘O’ face

  • Stand in front of the mirror – facing straight.
  • Make a surprised face – open out your eyes and make a face as if you were to pronounce the letter O – aka the surprised face.
  • While holding this pose, further stretch the area below your nose, look up, and hold for 10-15 seconds.
  • Do this twice, once a day.

Hang out that tongue

  • Stand in front of the mirror – facing straight.
  • Open your mouth wide (hope you are alone by the way, lest your scare off someone!) and stretch out your tongue towards your chin as much as you can
  • From that position, open your eyes wide, looking upward with all you’ve got, and hold for 10-15 seconds.
  • Do this twice, once a day

Tongue to nose

  • Again, standing alone in front of a mirror – stick your tongue as far out as possible, angling the tip upward
  • From that pose, tilt you head back as far as you can (hold on to something for balance though), and hold for 10-15 seconds.
  • Do this twice, once a day
